A new committee of the United News of Bangladesh (UNB) District Correspondents' Association was constituted on Saturday with Chowdhury Ataur Rahman Rana (Khagrachhari) as its president and Md Abdul Hakim Babul (Sherpur) general secretary.

The committee was formed for three years at the Annual District Correspondents' Conference-2019 of the news agency where Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was the chief guest.

The other office-bearers of the 21-member committee are: Vice-presidents Sheikh Deedarul Alam (Khulna), Md Arzoo Siddique (Brahmanbaria), SM Masud Rana (Sirajganj), Nazrul Islam Muhib (Moulvibazar), Siddique Alam Dayal (Gaibandha) and Monirul Islam Mihir (Manikganj); Assistant General Secretary Ariful Islam Dalim (Chuadanga) and Treasurer Mejbahul Hoq Mithu (Noakhali).

The executive committee members are Bisnu Proshad Chakrabortty (Bagerhat), Sajjadur Rahman (Panchagarh), Abdul Latif (Thakurgaon), Khairul Ahsan Manik (Cumilla) and Oli Ahmed (Rangamati).
