Former adviser and retired Major General Dr. Abdur Rahman Khan, widely known as A. R. Khan, is no more. He passed away on Wednesday night while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Cantonment, due to old age complications. His demise has cast a deep shadow of grief in the medical and social arenas.

He was 100 years old. A.R. Khan served as an adviser to the non-party caretaker government formed in 1996. He was the adviser to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

He was widely known and respected for his long-standing contributions to the country's education, medical services, and public welfare.

Expressing deep grief over his death, the local residents and well-wishers extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
