Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) celebrated its 69th founding anniversary through a celebration programme featuring discussion and cultural show at the main auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum on April 9. The programme titled 'ICCR Foundation Day 2019' was organised by the High Commission of India in Dhaka.
Law, justice and parliamentary affairs minister Anisul Huq was present as the chief guest at the event, while Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das was present as the special guest on the occasion.
About five hundred guests including former ICCR scholars attended the programme. Some of the local ICCR scholars shared their experiences of studying in Indian universities and institutes.
The celebration programme concluded with a colourful cultural show where renowned local artistes including elocutionists Shahdat Hossain Nipu, singer Sujit Mostafa and dancers Warda Rihab, Monira Parveen, Agnes Rachel Perris, Munmun Anmed, Anisul Islam Hero and Tamanna Rahman performed.
