The speakers talked about the deceased person's life and immense contributions to our social and cultural organisations. The speakers uttered------ Momtazuddin was a multi-talented and extraordinary person. He was a gifted dramatist, theatre activist, actor and researcher. His contribution to country's theatre scene cannot be forgotten. He never compromised with his ideology despite facing various obstacles during his lifetime. He never felt irritated when teaching young students and dramatists. He rather assisted and gave advice to artistes whenever they fell in trouble in both profession and other activities. He was a very kind and cheerful man. His death has left a huge void in the country's art and culture scene.

Ahmed was born in 1935. He is mostly known for his satirical plays and columns exposing social and political anomalies. Ahmed has written around 40 plays for stage, radio and television and directed several of them besides acting in some of the most popular TV dramas in the 1970s and 80s.

For his contributions to theatre and culture, he received Bangla Academy Literary Award (1976) and Ekushey Padak (1997). Besides, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy honoured him as one of the most outstanding playwrights in Bangladesh in 2008.
