A four-day special print workshop titled 'Line of Ages' began at Cosmos-Atelier71 Studio in the city's Malibagh on Wednesday.
The workshop is being conducted by Toshihiko Ikeda, a noted young Japanese print-artist and educator of Art Village Shirakino, Minamishimabara-shi, located in Nagasaki, Japan.
Ikeda is also a part time lecturer of the department of printmaking of Nihon University.
The participating artists are - Asharful Hasan, Dr. Hira Sobahan, Farzana Rahman Bobby, Juton Chandra Roy, Khalequzzaman Shimul, Mohammad Rezaul Sadat, Nagarbasi Barman, Nevine Sultana, Nityananda Gaine and Sourav Chowdhury.
Artists Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Kalidas Karmakar, Biren Shome, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Nazia Andaleeb Preema and Biswajit Goshwami are participating in the workshop as guest artists.
Cosmos-Atelier71 Studioalso intends to publish a portfolio and will organize an exhibition with selected artworks of every participant derived from the workshop.
The workshop will run from 10 am to 5 pm till Saturday at the Cosmos-Atelier71 Printmaking Studio at Cosmos Centre.
