Two emerging Bangladeshi filmmakers Rezwan Shahriar and Arifur Rahman have achieved the opportunity to work under the supervision of renowned Hollywood film professionals. They have got the chance to take part at the Film Independent's Global Media Makers' Programme. The programme has been associated with U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The programme has initiated from October 1 in Los Angeles, one of the most beautiful cities in USA.

At this 6 week-long programme, there will be several workshops, under the guidance of some noted American filmmakers and producers. About 18 young filmmakers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Lebanon have been nominated to participate in the workshop. Among those 18 participants, Arifur Rahman has been selected as producer and Rezwan Shahriar has been selected as screenplay writer and director. They have been assigned with 2 years-long fellowship programme along with the opportunity to stay in Los Angeles for 6 weeks. As a part of the mentorship programme, they will get the opportunity to watch out some popular production houses named 'Netflix', 'Stage 13', 'Warner Bros.', 'Array', 'HBO' and more.

Rezwan has directed the movie 'Nona Joler kabbo'. The movie has gone for several film festivals and will be released soon. He is taking his new project 'A new Prophet' at the programme. On the other hand, the short film 'Ruqayyah', produced by Arifur Rahman, was initially screened at Venice International Film Festival. He has also produced the movie 'Matir Projar Deshe'. He is taking his film 'Paradise' at the Media Makers programme in Los Angeles.
