Marium Nasreen Afsana, a young Bangladeshi artist, has won an international award at the 'World Youth Art Seeds' event organised by the World Institute of Youth Art - Centre for UNESCO, held in Troyes, France from June 17 to 21.
She received the award in the 3-5 age group category for her painting titled 'City Kite Festival', said a press release.
Nearly 4,000 young artists from 84 countries participated in this year's event held under the theme 'Art and Culture: A Path towards Peace'.
Marium, a student of Golden Eagle Nursery in Dhaka, attended the exhibition at Espace Argence in Troyes, where her artwork was displayed alongside those of other young talents from around the world.
Sharing her feelings after receiving the award, Marium expressed her joy, saying, "I am happy to be here."
She is currently learning painting at the Alliance Française de Dhaka in Gulshan.
