On the occasion of the 12th founding anniversary of noted musical troupe Geeto Satadal, the organisation arranged a musical soiree and felicitation programme.

The organisation felicitated accomplished architect and Tagore artiste Shahzia Islam Anton. She is the director of Vistaara Architects Ltd. The architectural farm's notable designs include Bashundhara City, Grameenphone Corporate Head Office, Eastern Bank Headquarter, Banglalink Head Office, Robi Head Office, Radisson Bay View Hotel, The Westin Hotel and more.

Shahzia is married to gifted architect Mustapha Khalid Palash. She graduated from the Department of Architecture, BUET securing fifth position in 1988. Information Minister Hasanul Huq Inu was present as chief guest at the event.

Novelist, musician and former Comptroller and Auditor General Masud Ahmed; Professor Dr Mohua Mukhopadhyay, Rabindra Chair, Dhaka University; Dr Gouranga Mohastho, writer, translator and additional secretary of Education Ministry; Bishal Jotti Das, director of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhaka were present as special guests.

Bashori Dutt, founder president of Geeto Satadal presided over the event.
