Cosmos Foundation Chairman and Cosmos Group Managing Director Enayetullah Khan hosted a farewell dinner in honour of outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan at his Baridhara residence on January 23, 2023.
Ambassador Turan said Bangladesh will remain a special place for him - a special country with special people.
"Here the number and the intensity of the farewells that I had with every single one of you created another bond that would bring me back in this country," he said.
Ambassador Turan said he is very proud that they have created some legacies together with people who really believe in the power of partnership.
Bangladesh-Türkiye Business Forum is a real and solid example of this, he said.
Fondly recalling his participation in an episode of Cosmos Dialogue held virtually during Covid-19 pandemic, Ambassador Turan said the event was an eye opener for him which increased his curiosity to go deeper into some of the aspects of Bangladesh-Türkiye bilateral relations.
Khan, also Editor-in-Chief of UNB and Dhaka Courier, said they are thankful to Ambassador Turan for initiating the Bnagladesh-Türkiye Business Forum with the best minds and best entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.
"I think this is destined to be very successful organisation. That is going to be very powerful and effective forum to enhance bilateral ties between the two countries," he said.
Khan thanked the Turkish Ambassador for all his efforts to enhance the relationship between Bangladesh and Türkiye.
Academics, diplomats, business leaders and artists attended the dinner.
