Summit Group, along with the Tagore Society Singapore organised a charity concert recently to raise funds for the Migrant Workers' Welfare Fund, based within the city state's Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics, or HOME.

Shama Rahman, a global ambassador of Rabindra Sangeet, performed at the concert.

All the proceeds from the event were given to HOME to assist the low-wage migrant workers in Singapore, who often suffer abuse and exploitation in the form of unpaid or delayed salaries, excessive working hours, and physical or psychological abuse.

Addressing the occasion, Muhammed Aziz Khan, founder and chairman of Summit Group, said: "Today, we all need a philosophical guru like Rabindranath Tagore in this world, where warmongers are gaining ground, poverty is being aggravated by nations and divisions within humanity are being created once again."

Tauhedul Islam, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore, Derek Loh, High Commissioner of Singapore to Bangladesh and P Kumaran, the Indian High Commissioner in Singapore, attended the concert, among others.
