Short film ‘A Letter to God’ to go to Hollywood

‘A Letter to God’ a short film, made by Sadiqur Rahman (Hemanta Sadeeq), student of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University will be screened at the ‘3rd Real to Real-Global Youth Film Festival’ in Hollywood. The festival will be held on October 7 at Los Angeles Film School, USA. The organisers say that 22 films out of 200 films around the world have been selected for screening in the Festival.  Sadiqur Rahman has been invited to screen his film and attend the Real To Real Global Youth Film Festival in Hollywood.


Beside this, Hemonto Sadeeq’s   ‘A Letter to God’ has also been invited to be screened in Ringegerike International Youth Film Festival in Norway during November7-11. The official website of the organisers say that among 800 filmmakers around the world 30 selected young filmmakers of the world has been invited to join this festival. As a representative of Bangladesh Hemanta Sadeeq will screen his film at the festival and attend a film making workshop. ‘A Letter to God’ has also selected to be screened for Geo Film Festival in Italy on November 9.


‘A Letter to God’ has already been screened in International Film Festival of Morocco during September 18-23 and 3rd Asia Youth Micro Film Exhibition in China on September 25. This short film has also screened at CineMangga International Film Festival, Philippine, 5th International Film Festival, Mexico, Caribbean International Film Festival, Grand Bahama and AM Egypt Film Festival in Egypt.


The Director of ‘A Letter to God’ Hemanta Sadeeq has achieved Young Talent Award in 10th International Children’s Film Festival for this short film. ‘A Letter to God’ has won best short film award in Sylhet Film Festival.
