I was one of the camp members of China-Bangladesh Youth Camp 2017. I enjoyed each and every activity of this camp. This was a lifetime experience for me. I went through so many things that I never think to do in my life.  I was surrounded by a bunch of beautiful people. And the volunteers, they were like angels.

We went to the Nationalities Village to know about the ethnic people, their lifestyle, their food habit and their culture. The place was so beautiful that it was nothing less than a painting. Everyone was wearing their ethnic dresses to represent their culture. I was totally mesmarised.

In that spot there was an elephant show. So we went to enjoy that. There were five well trained elephants of different size. Everyone was taking picture with the elephants, was giving bananas to them. After a while the elephant show started. In one part they called from the audience saying, “Is anyone interested?? At first I was feeling uneasy to raise my hand but when I saw the other camp members are taking part in different elephant activities I raise my hand. The person called me and another man in the middle and asked me to lay down on a mat. I was a bit scared to lay down but I did. Then they covered my lower part with a towel. I was getting nervous gradually what’s going to happen. There was a huge crowd. Everyone was excited to see what’s going to happen.

Then the trainer called one of his elephant. I just shouted. Noooooooooooo !!!!! I became so scared that I was telling I want to go back. Please let me go, please, please.. as they can’t speak English he didn’t understand any of my words. Then that elephant kept his foot on my belly and I started laughing. It didn’t hurt at all. I felt something spongy is massaging my belly. At the end the elephant put his trunk on my belly.

Once I came back to my seat everyone was asking me- how it does feel, does it hurt? Did I scare? And a lot of questions.

This activity lasted only for 3-4 minutes but the experience was lifetime. I never thought life would give me this opportunity. Thanks to China-Bangladesh Youth Camp for everything.
